Governance Engagement Index v2
GEI v2 was developed as continuation of our GEI v1 used in Cardano Pulse: December 2024 research. 

 

The engagement levels in this version of the Governance Engagement Index are:

• Low (10-15)

• Moderate (16-21)

• High (22-28)

 

and they are currently based on a simple preliminary scale to help orient users around their score.

However, it’s important to understand that these categories are temporary and indicative, not final. In GEI v1, we were able to define scoring bands more rigorously by analyzing the full distribution of real responses from over 300 participants (which ended up being skewed in distribution, as well as in the end this one might be too).

With GEI v2 being a newly released tool, we haven’t yet collected a large enough sample of responses to establish a statistically meaningful distribution. Once more users complete the index, we’ll be able to analyze those scores and update the engagement bands to reflect real-world participation more accurately.

Until then, please consider the current banding as a first step — not a ranking, but a mirror for self-reflection.
